Not only has CNN avoided covering the shocking arms trafficking scandal unfolding right now, but they also lied as to why. The layers upon layers of dishonesty and obstruction of the truth are just one more indication that our media sees its role as an advocate for leftists, rather than an information source for its viewers. CNN especially has proven itself to be the masters at spinning news out of nothing – see the last 2 weeks of their breathless wall-to-wall pseudo-reporting of the flight 370 tragedy; they are equally adept at refusing to cover actual events. In fact, they have proven themselves to be much better at “reporting” where there is no information than where there is. Where facts and truth have no relevance, the only thing that gets in the way of a good day’s “work” as a journalist is having to justify one’s pathetically irresponsible decisions.

CNN dismissed complaints that the network was not covering last week’s shocking arrest of Democrat Leland Yee, the California state senator who was arrested for alleged arms trafficking and bribery, and falsely asserted that it does not give attention to state senators.

But really, who could possibly be interested in a story about one of the state Senate’s most outspoken anti-gun legislators caught in an arms trafficking scandal? And with a Chinatown gangster named “Shrimp Boy?” Naah. Too boring, really. But by all means, tell us more about black hole that swallowed up the missing Malaysian Air flight.
