Back to Full-Time Racial Incitement
Jonathan S. Tobin | @tobincommentary 07.15.2013

…In much of the mainstream media today, but especially on MSNBC, the verdict has been treated as a green light not only for recriminations about the verdict but an excuse for an all-out, nonstop stream of racial incitement. Where last week it seemed most Americans were rightly trying to assess the virtues of the two sides’ arguments in a hard-fought case, today many liberals among the chattering classes in the media, pop culture and politics have regressed to stereotypes and mindless assumptions that tell us more about their own prejudices than about the supposedly racist state of American justice. … read more

Shameless: NBC Never Tells Viewers it Smeared Zimmerman with Doctored Audio
Despite firings, apology, lawsuit, network silent about phony tape.

Published: 6/19/2013 2:26 PM ET
By Matt Philbin

…. For a full week in March, 2012 NBC “Nightly News” and “Today,” along with its local Miami affiliate ran audio tape of George Zimmerman’s 911 call the night he fatally shot Trayvon Martin. NBC viewers learned that Zimmerman had said to the 911 dispatcher, “This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.”

That was pretty damning evidence of racial profiling. It was also an entirely false representation of the 911 conversation. Someone at NBC had edited the tape to make Zimmerman appear racist. read more

Cliff Kincaid: CNN Commentator Embarrassed By Zimmerman Verdict
By Cliff Kincaid July 15, 2013

After the not-guilty verdict was handed down, George Zimmerman attorney Mark O’Mara strongly criticized the media’s role in getting his client charged in the case. He compared the media to “mad scientists” who had turned Zimmerman into a “monster.” He said the media “took a story that was fed to you and you ran with it and you ran right over him and that was horrid to him.”

But the false story line—that Zimmerman was a racist who shot a black man for no reason—continued during the trial, especially in the reckless and wild CNN commentaries of Asunción “Sunny” Hostin….. read more

Zimmerman Will Move ‘ASAP’ on Lawsuit Against NBC for Fraudulent Audio Editing
By Matthew Sheffield | July 14, 2013

Now that he has successfully defended himself from criminal charges brought against him by the state of Florida for the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman is going to resume a lawsuit he filed several months earlier against NBC News.

Launched in the midst of the state prosecution against him by a separate civil team, the lawsuit is a defamation claim alleging that NBC deliberately altered an audio recording so as to make Zimmerman appear to be racist…. read more

And now, we have this same Al Sharpton, up on his NBC dais, calling for race riots in 100 cities.

from Breitbart.com:

NBC’S SHARPTON PLANS PROTESTS IN 100 CITIES

by JOHN NOLTE 15 Jul 2013, 9:19 AM PDT

During MSNBC’s 11 am hour, above a chyron that read, “More Marches, Protests Planned in Coming Days, Weeks,” MSNBC anchor Al Sharpton said that he and his National Action Network are “mobilizing” protests in 100 cities. Sharpton made clear that the protests were meant to pressure the Justice Department into taking legal action against George Zimmerman:

Well, I certainly think it is going to be on those that now feel that this verdict makes a lot of people vulnerable. The reason that people in the civil rights community, including [Sharpton’s] National Action Network, is talking about these hundred cities that we’re mobilizing this weekend, is not just questioning a verdict but, saying a precedent is now set where the Justice Department must come in[.]

NBC’s Sharpton was one of the first people to turn the shooting death of teenager Trayvon Martin into a national news story back in March of last year. In the run up to the trial this year, Sharpton has used his primetime MSNBC program, “Politics Nation,” to demand Zimmerman be convicted…. read more

Then there’s this – as one who spends weeks preparing for protests  including getting the appropriate paperwork, insurance, publicity, posting and advertising and announcing, trying to get press coverage, I find this one particularly irksome:

LOS ANGELES ANTI-ZIMMERMAN DEMONSTRATORS SHUT DOWN 10 FREEWAY
by BEN SHAPIRO 14 Jul 2013

On Sunday evening, protesters against the not guilty verdict for George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin shooting shut down the 10 Freeway in Crenshaw, a largely-minority area of Los Angeles. …
Around 200 protesters stood on the freeway and shut down traffic; they crossed the freeway median and shut down the northbound freeway as well. The freeway remained closed for approximately 20 minutes…  read more

And of course, because it’s all about race, the media have honed in on this one case of a “white Hispanic” killing a black man, and ignoring, with a willful blindness that is pathological, the hundreds upon hundreds of deaths of African Americans at the hand of other African Americans (according to one source,  “in the 513 days between Trayvon dying, and today’s verdict, 11,106 African Americans have been murdered by other African-Americans”   – and let’s not even mention the statistics regarding abortions of African Americans (according to the CDC, 1452 African American babies are aborted every day – and since 1973, the year of the Supreme Court Decision Roe vs. Wade, 13 million (13,000,000) African American lives have been lost to abortion.)  And their coverage of the horrific numbers of murders in Obama’s adopted home-town of Chicago (under the mayoral “leadership” of his friend Rahm Emmanuel?)  Silence.

Why did the death of Trayvon matter to this administration and the depraved media in a way that none of these other deaths do?
Because he was not killed by a black man.
It’s just that simple.
THAT is the tragedy that we need to CONTEMPLATETHAT is what is wrong with America, Mr. President.
That only those deaths that can advance your agenda are worth attention
ONLY those deaths that can divide us
The cravenness is breathtaking

At what point do WE rise up and say WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH?
