The newly-released Brookings Institution study on Americans’ immigration views included the question “Which of the following television news sources do you trust the most to provide accurate information about politics and current events?” The left-leaning institution polled 1,538 adults, controlling for national party affiliation and other factors to ensure a representative sample.
The results:
25% — Fox News
23 % – broadcast news
17% – CNN
12% – public television
7% – Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show”
5% – the self-described “progressive news channel” MSNBC.
The good news is that nobody trusts MSNBC, that beacon of progressive “journalism,” home of Rachel Maddow, the Reverend Al Sharpton, Chris “Tingles” Matthew” and the rest of their roster of craven hate-mongering propagandists. The tragedy is that a comedian’s satirical “news” is more trusted than MSNBC, and that it is, in fact, even considered “news.”
Clearly, viewership is not MSNBC’s goal, but agenda is. They would rather lose viewers by staying “true to their values” than report the truth.
